2022 NFL Mock Draft

As usual, no trades are projected. Be sure to check out Walter Football for more mock drafts.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars – Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

2. Detroit Lions – Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

Pure gut feeling, but the combination of the exciting prospect Willis is, that the Lions know how he responds to their coaching, and the fact they have at least one more year of Goff on the books makes this pairing too fun to pass up.

3. Houston Texans – Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

4. New York Jets – Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

5. New York Giants – Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

6. Carolina Panthers – Ahmad Gardner, DB, Cincinatti

Gardner and Jaycee Horn would make quite a long-term corner tandem.

7. New York Giants (from Chicago Bears) – Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

8. Atlanta Falcons – Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

9. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos) – Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

Penning just seems like the Seahawks’ type of guy, opting for the masher over Charles Cross.

10. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks) – Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

This feels too low for Hamilton, but in this scenario the Jets leave the top ten with two guys who could’ve gone second overall.

11. Washington Commanders – Drake London, WR, USC

Big-bodied, 50/50 winner to complement Scary Terry McLaurin.

12. Minnesota Vikings – Derek Stingley Jr., DB, LSU

13. Houston Texans (from Cleveland Browns) – Trent McDuffie, DB, Washington

14. Baltimore Ravens – Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State

15. Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami Dolphins) – Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Williams joins DeVonta Smith in Philly as another elite Alabama receiver for Jalen Hurts.

16. New Orleans Saints (from Indianapolis Colts through Philadelphia Eagles) – Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

17. Los Angeles Chargers – Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

Potentially too low for Cross, but the Seahawks going Penning and the receiver run let him fall right to the Chargers here.

18. Philadelphia Eagles (from New Orleans Saints) – Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

After securing a top receiver with their first pick, the Eagles add Davis as BPA to further bolster their defensive line.

19. New Orleans Saints (from Philadelphia Eagles) – Lewis Cine, S, Georgia

20. Pittsburgh Steelers – Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

21. New England Patriots – Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

22. Green Bay Packers (from Las Vegas Raiders) – Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

23. Arizona Cardinals – Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Burks would be fun in this offense and has up-tempo experience.

24. Dallas Cowboys – Zion Johnson, OG, Boston College

25. Buffalo Bills – Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State

Raw but insanely explosive deep threat for Josh Allen, and a perfect long-term complement to Stefon Diggs.

26. Tennessee Titans – Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia

28. Green Bay Packers – Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan

29. Kansas City Chiefs (from San Francisco 49ers through Miami Dolphins) – George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

30. Kansas City Chiefs – Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

I came in to this thinking Dean would go higher, but here we are. A couple solid picks for the Chiefs with the rare back-to-back first rounders.

31. Cincinnati Bengals – Andrew Booth, DB, Clemson

32. Detroit Lions (from Los Angeles Rams) – Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

The Lions don’t get a shot at mock favorites Dean or Cine, and seven receivers are off the board. They opt to grab Hill as a versatile safety/nickel weapon.

33. Jacksonville Jaguars – Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa

34. Detroit Lions – Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

Two elite athletes added to their defense and the QB of the future through the first 34 picks.
